  • The Mystery of Comparison

In recent times, comparison has been viewed in a negative light. Comparison has been seen as a root cause of many negative emotions like jealousy, hatred among brothers, anxiety, and the likes. This has tarnished such a powerful telescope that our brain uses most times without our awareness. The question is not to avoid comparison. The question is, how can we harness Comparison? That is the mystery.

    Comparison: Sense of Scale

Our intellectual understanding is fundamentally based on Comparison. If someone explains a concept you haven’t experienced or heard of, the person ought to use a simile or metaphor. Such figures of speech require comparing what is unknown to a similarly known phenomenon. In neuroplasticity, the brain enforces already-built neural pathways. Thus, learning the unknown by comparing it to the known enlightens the mind and strengthens the pathways. It’s like going to the village and talking about skyscrapers. Since they can’t relate, comparing it to an anthill by calling it an anthill but for humans make it relatable.

Comparison basically gives us a sense of scale. Is it big? Or too long? Is it tiring? Is it interesting? How do you know? Truth be told, the foundation of value is comparison. Comparison is the true denominator of essence. For something to lose its relevance, gain momentum, gain ground, or even shift suddenly; for us to perceive it is based on comparison. Without comparison, not only will our understanding be fragmented, but our perception will be null. Comparison is such a mystery.

One mystery to note is that regardless of what is being compared, there is a yardstick. Comparison is not the difference between two things on a scale. No! In fact, the scale is more important than what is being compared. This is where we get it wrong. We think the comparison is a negative thing when it was rather the scale we used in the comparison. If comparison was wrong, why was Jesus compared to the angels, Moses and Melchizedek in the book of Hebrews?

The sad thing is, we condemn comparison in theory and still compare in practice. We compare one child to another; one relationship to another, one parent to another, one job to another, one area to another. Comparison is a mystery we cannot avoid. The earlier we understand and wield it to our advantage, the better. A false scale is abominable unto the Lord. No scale at all is not a possibility.

    Comparison: Standard of Judgment

The scale of comparison is called the yardstick or, even better, the standard. The standard is a means of judgement. Yes, the mystery of judgment is embedded in the mystery of comparison. Even God has a standard. His standard is His glory. That is what we all fell short of, “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” How will God judge us? Do you think God will judge us equally? Not at all! He will judge us fairly. There’s a difference. It is important to know God judges you so you’ll know how to judge yourself.

    1. The reason why God will need to judge us individually is because no scale exists to correctly compare one person to the other. If you’ve read up to this point and you think what I mean by writing all this is that we have to compare ourselves to others, you still don’t understand the mystery of comparison. Even God will not judge us based on others’ criteria or standards. Get this; He will judge us according to our abilities. Remember the parable of the talents? He gave one 5, the other 2 and another, 1. It’s not fair? What was the scale of measure? Why didn’t He just give everyone 3 each? Because he gave “each according to his ability”.

    2. God will judge us according to His glorious standard. The only person who met this standard is Jesus. By accepting his sacrifice, we meet the standard of God. God’s standard is so high that there’s nothing we can do to measure up. Note that God didn’t lower His standard to accommodate us. He maintains His standard and continually raises us to His standard, not just in this lifetime but throughout eternity. That is another mystery for another time. This comparison to His glorious standard is a judgment for the attainment of His eternal rest; salvation. However, there’s another scale of measure.

    3. God will judge us according to our measure. This comparison to our measure is a judgment of the attainment of the rewards for spiritual growth. He is bringing His reward to pay each man according to their deeds, Revelations 22:12 says. Matthew 7:2 explains it better; the standard you use in judging is the standard by which you will be judged. Back to the parable of the talents. God gave one man 5, not because He had only 5 to give. He has infinity. He gave the man only 5 because that is the man’s capacity to receive. How is going to judge that man? Is he expecting infinity from him? He’s judging the man based on the standard the man set for himself based on his capacity.

Based on all this, how then do you measure yourself? What should we compare ourselves to? I know all this is very loaded and will take meditation to understand. Measure yourself based on what God has given you to steward in any particular season of your life. This is the most accurate determiner of your measure because God will never give you more than you can handle. He doesn’t waste resources. He will also never give you any less than you can handle because He desires that you keep on increasing your capacity. Even His rewards are according to our measure.

    Selah!

  • What is Wrong with Pre-marital Sex? Part III

Let’s delve deeper into the perils of pre-marital sex debate, shall we? Beyond the immediate consequences, pre-marital sex can sow seeds of discontent and discord within the confines of marriage, leading to a myriad of issues that can strain even the strongest of relationships.

You’ve indulged in a variety of sexual experiences before tying the knot, each one offering a unique thrill and unexplainable sensations. Yet, when it comes to intimacy with your spouse, you find yourself longing for the excitement and novelty of past encounters. This phenomenon will erode the foundation of pleasure and intimacy within a marriage, as partners grapple with feelings of inadequacy and comparison. Engaging in pre-marital sex can create spiritual and emotional bonds with past partners, making it difficult to fully connect with your spouse on a deep and intimate level. These lingering ties can manifest as feelings of guilt, regret, or even longing for past relationships, hindering the development of a strong and healthy marital bond.

Let’s not forget about the very real and tangible risk of sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). Engaging in pre-marital sex increases the likelihood of contracting STDs, which can have devastating consequences for both individuals and their relationships. From the physical discomfort of symptoms to the emotional turmoil of navigating a diagnosis, STDs can wreak havoc on marital bliss, leading to mistrust, resentment, and even the breakdown of the relationship. Not to talk of unwanted pregnancies and abortions.

How about not sleeping with anyone else apart from the person you know you’re about to marry? It’s a slippery slope, my friends. What begins as a seemingly innocent exploration of physical pleasure can quickly spiral into a full-blown addiction, consuming one’s thoughts, emotions, and behaviours. Pre-marital sex can create neural pathways in the brain that reinforce addictive patterns, making it increasingly difficult to resist the urge to engage in risky sexual behaviours, even within the confines of marriage. Fornication has a way of weakening the boundaries that safeguard our relationships. When we disregard the sanctity of sexual intimacy and indulge in pre-marital sex, we open the door to a host of temptations and vulnerabilities, making us more susceptible to adultery and infidelity. It no longer becomes about the person but the act. Thus, anyone who can give you that deep lingering lustful soulful pleasure will draw you.

A lot of single people think marriage solves all their sexual problems. However, it takes the same grace to overcome both fornication and adultery. It’s basically the same sin in a different context. What waiting till marriage does is that it strengthens your loins for marriage so you would be faithful till death does you part. Thus, the fornication war is just a warm-up to the rest of the war with adultery. If fornication slaps you, it will leave a traceable mark for adultery to infect its bacteria into you, leaving your immune system of a boundary weaker and weaker.

Enough of this, I guess. The perils of pre-marital sex extend far beyond the immediate gratification of physical pleasure. From sexual dissatisfaction and soul ties to STDs, sexual addictions, and weakened boundaries, engaging in pre-marital sex can have profound and far-reaching consequences for anyone. It’s a sobering reminder that our choices today can shape the course of our lives tomorrow. The spirit of lust is one of the strongest in the universe. Don’t even entertain that conversation with the serpent because once you taste that forbidden fruit and “your eyes open”, not only will you shy away from God and attract a few curses here and there; but the consequences, although grace exists, will be paramount regardless. Flee and you’ll be free!

  • What is Wrong with Pre-marital Sex? Part II

In our modern era, the concept of pre-marital sex is often met with a mix of acceptance and controversy. While some may argue for its liberation from societal constraints, a closer examination reveals the profound implications of engaging in such intimate relations outside the confines of marriage.

Let’s delve into the heart of the matter, shall we? Pre-marital sex, at its core, undermines the sanctity of commitment and the sacred bond between partners. It cheapens the act of intimacy, reducing it to a mere physical transaction devoid of emotional depth and spiritual significance. In a world where instant gratification reigns supreme, the fleeting pleasures of the flesh obscure the profound connection that can only be forged within the sanctity of marriage.

Trust is like an egg. So fragile yet so precious. When cracked, it can never return to its original state. There are only two reasons why we don’t trust someone; 1. Because we know them. 2. Because we don’t know them. It is also possible to trust someone in one area and not in the other. Once you and your partner couldn’t wait for the ice cream to be served and went in right away to scoop when no one was watching shows that you are not going to trust him/her around any person of the opposite sex in any candy shop. You don’t trust him/her because you know him/her. Do you trust your gossip partner to keep your secrets? Anyone who betrayed with you will betray you. Anyone who gossips with you will gossip about you. That is what pre-marital sex does. You’ve both lost your trust for each other without realising. Once your spouse is not home at a certain hour, your heart begins to race. If you and your spouse could hide in the dark and commit such an act, what stops your spouse from committing that act behind your back whenever things go south?

Even worse, you’re not going to trust your kids when they come of age. You knew what you were doing when you were their age, and although it’s not something you’re proud of at that time of your life, you are still going to act paranoid when your children are not in your view. If you want to trust your children to make the right decision even in your absence, trust yourself to make one today. This kind of behaviour produces two kinds of parents: strict parents and indifferent parents. Strict parents usually have a past they never disclose to their kids. Their overprotective behaviour is usually unsuccessful in stopping their children from tasting the forbidden fruit. Indifferent parents don’t care anymore and are usually still in their “hoe phase”. He is never there as a Dad and she doesn’t have it in her to be a Mom. Did all this start from a small mistake? Not necessarily. It started from a continuously made mistake one refused to admit.

Women, this paragraph is for you. Although men always say they want to test it for sexual compatibility before they put a ring on it, statistics show that men eventually settle with a virgin. It’s like using Toyota for a test drive and then buying the Benz. Men are insecure around women who have had a sexual relationship with someone else although women don’t mind if the guy just came out of a sexual relationship. Double standards! No guy wants a Jezebel or a Delilah, huh? So why are they playing the role of Ahab? It’s the stereotypical fallen nature of men. They think their promiscuity is natural and justifiable. Although they associate seduction with feminism, their ego is suddenly hurt when they realise you have more sexual experience. It takes two hands to clap, yet one hand is shamed in society. Don’t fall into this trap. You can’t change societal thinking in one lifetime. Even in Jesus’ time, they caught and brought only the adulterous woman as if she slept with a ghost. If you want that adulterous woman to be judged fairly, be like Jesus not the adulterous woman. You can’t solve a problem while still contributing to its stereotype.

One of the most powerful things about life is the paradox of knowledge. The more you know, the more you realise you don’t know. Once you think you know so much, it is proof of your naivety. As a lifelong learner, one of your hallmarks is looking back at your last decade and realising how naive you were. Once you are in your 20s, you realise how naive you were as a teenager and how your parents were not wrong after all. Same as your 30s. You realise how naive you were in your 20s. Same as your 40s and 30s. Once you don’t realise how naive you were in your last decade, it’s proof that you stopped learning somewhere along the way. Why I’m I saying all this? Because if you’re in your 20s having pre-marital sex, you’re naive. You didn’t think about the repercussions to any degree. You didn’t think about how it will affect you even in your 40s. You didn’t even learn any lessons from those who made that same mistake in decades past. You didn’t think about your family; the one you have and the one you’ll have. It was just some one-dimensional thinking and a hope that you two will live happily ever after.

Do you realise that no one is stopping you from having sex? Sex is not wrong. However, just like in biology, when you place a function out of its purpose, you abuse it. That is what perversion is. It’s the wrong version. Do you want to have sex? Great. So do almost all youthful people you know (although they may not want to admit it). That desire is not wrong. It’s natural. Yet, it does not make it right. It’s natural to feel like killing someone who stole all the money you have in the world. It does not make it right. How do you make it right then? Devoid of all the shame, guilt, emptiness and baseless justifications? God has our best interests always. He commanded us not to commit incest long before medical research revealed that incest has dire repercussions. He knows what’s best.

….to be continued. Kindly leave a comment.

  • What It Really Means to Love

If hate could heal the world, the world wouldn’t be this broken. Hate, like cancer, is eating into the earth like a vulture eats carcasses. Love, like healing rain, is the only web that unity, trust, understanding, faithfulness and truth can connect. The concept of love has not been over-emphasized: it has only been misconstrued.

Loving God (Deut 6:5) and loving your neighbour (Lev 19:18) were laws in the Torah that God instructed the people of Israel through Moses, so loving one another is an age-old concept. However, because there are different words for love in Greek, the “old” commandment sounded like this; Love God with the love of God (Greek: Agape) and love your neighbour with brotherly love (Greek: philia).

In John 21:15-17, Jesus asked Peter 3 times if he loves Him with the Love of God (agape). Peter responded that he loved Him as a brother (phileo). In other words, we are not fully loving if we do not love how Love loves. Love loves freely and fully. Love is not even fully manifested in brotherly love, which loves people of their kind only. It is only fully manifested in agape, the God-kind of Love. Love loves all the way through.

Jesus is saying He is giving us a new commandment. What makes this commandment new? Here it is; “As I have loved you”. A quick question anyone will ask is, “How do I love another with the Love of God?”. Jesus answered that perfectly; “As I have loved you”. Jesus is the epitome and embodiment of the Love of God. Romans 5:5 makes us understand that God continually pours His Love into our hearts. He wants you to love Him with this same Love, love yourself, and extend this same Love to others.

This love, of course, won’t make any sense to one who hasn’t encountered the Love of God. It won’t make sense to leave 99 sheep and go in search of one, except when you realize that that one lost sheep was you. It’s the kind of love that waits earnestly on the rooftop, eagerly hoping to see us return home. It’s the kind of love that sees our poor wretched souls from afar and meets us halfway, lavishing us with kisses even in our dirtiness.

This love is not the kind of Love that waits till you’re good enough. It’s the kind of Love that loves you good enough till everything sees it burning in your heart. This is a distinguishing Love: loving one another with the Love of God. God wants to love others through you too. “God loves you” is not enough to make the lost know he is worthy of love. Jesus wants this unconditional Love to be the distinguishing factor of His disciples. He said, “If you have a love for one another, then everyone will know that you are my disciples.”

    Love like Him ❤️

  • The First Noël Through The Eyes Of A Donkey

The First Noël Through The Eyes Of A Donkey

    Hi! I’m Donkey.

I’m in my mid-20s. I’ve lived all my life with my family of five. We love to travel together. I’m the eldest of my 3 brothers and I’ve served Jacob for God-knows-how-long. Joseph, Jacob’s son, is very fond of me and has me as his lucky charm. He always treats me as fam, you know. Joseph was quite a young man, enthusiastic about life and always ready to give a helping hand. He’d usually lie on the roof each night, stargazing at the beautiful bright-lit night sky, soliloquizing about some weird things only he understood.

It was tumultuous times, really. It somewhat gave people an optimistic feeling that something unusual was about to happen. I talked to my family about it and they couldn’t agree more. The birds chirped new melodies, the trees danced more rhythmically to the blazing wind in the hot sun and even during the nights, the stars twinkled in dazzling array. Even nature could feel the ecstatic suspense.

Not long after, the youngest of my brothers came to tell me that he had overheard some big news in town that day; Emperor Augustus had decreed that all the world should be registered. Another census? T’was the second census ever in my lifetime, and I wondered how long we’d be travelling this time. That nightfall, Joseph brought another companion, perhaps for the journey. I’d seen her a couple of times in the past. Mary. A young teenager, about 4 feet tall, coffee brown in complexion and subtle in countenance. She seemed to be carrying a baby.

It was the first time I had ever carried a human. Technically, two humans. Not easy, not gonna lie. It was a 90-mile journey from Nazareth to the south along the flat lands of the Jordan River, then west over the hills surrounding Jerusalem, and on into Bethlehem. It took us about 10 days. The longest 10 days of my life. There were times when the baby would kick, Mary would be in anguish and my legs would just not move. Numerous times. I’ve never been so stressed in my life.

When we arrived in Bethlehem, it was bed time and everyone was already indoors. Joseph sent us into his native home. They were very welcoming and had anticipated our visit. However, we had arrived late and the upper rooms were full. Since it was night time and was a little cold outside, my brothers and I were brought in into such a warm space in the lower room. It was the best rest I had had in a long time.

Early in the morning, I was sent into the family barn. Relatives had come along with their own livestock. We looked like a big family of our own. The barn looked like a home away from home. I made some new friends. Sheep recollected his long journey all the way from Samaria. If only he had known I had come from Nazareth. He didn’t seem to believe me when I told him, lol. Cow talked with all sincerity about how the entire atmosphere was saturated with some unspeakable exuberance. Everybody seemed to have resounded in agreement.

That night, we heard angels singing. It was the most beautiful thing I’ve heard in all my life. So many voices yet such striking harmony as one voice. This occurred the subsequent nights. One night when the young foals were being sent into the house to keep themselves warm, I joined the crowd. I couldn’t afford not to take a glimpse at whatever made heaven descend on earth.

The starlight was as bright as the morning sun. The night breeze was encapsulated with vibrant joy. As I entered in, I noticed that visitors were still travelling from afar to see the new born baby.

There, laid perfectly in a manger for all to see, was a bouncing baby boy. He was sound asleep yet many were staring at him at every moment. Several gifts were laid all around him. One bearded man in rich purple cloak with several servants behind him exclaimed, “The greatest of kings, born in the humblest of places.” Little did I know that I was looking at the greatest miracle in human history; God in the flesh.

  • I Sleep because I Can’t Come and Go and Come and Kill Myself

It’s pretty weird that people boast about how how tired they are and how much they have suffered

I Sleep because I Can’t Come and Go and Come and Kill Myself
  • Christian: He Lived in Peace & Died at Peace

    Christian

An epitome of nobility. A beacon of excellence. The true definition of a gentleman. Although his personality wanted him to fit in, his intellect and creativity made him stand out. Soft-spoken. A man of few words. His body language and diction exemplified godly intelligence. His intrinsic ability to simplify the complicated was a gift like no other. He was the best of us, living up time and again to his name.

    Christian

We know for sure that even if he doesn’t wake up soon, we will see him once again in glory. But why do good people die? I’ve stopped asking myself that question. No amount of explanation can quench the emotion within. Solomon knew what he was saying when he said that it is better to go to funerals than parties.

[3] Sorrow is better than laughter, for sadness has a refining influence on us. [4] A wise person thinks a lot about death, while a fool thinks only about having a good time.

    Ecclesiastes‬ ‭7:3‭-‬4‬ ‭NLT‬‬

For many of us, this is a turning point. A turning point to live right. A turning point to live out our purpose to the fullest. As young people, we think our lives are ahead of us. What is really ahead of us is death. It is inevitable. This life is short. So let Christian’s death bring life to you. A life of intentionality. A life of integrity. A life of excellence.

    Christian

With tears in your eyes as you read this message, remember that you, also, are Christian. He lived in peace and died at peace. Therefore, I am not going to spend an iota of my short life worrying about needless casualties. I am going to live intentionally, living each day as if it were my last because it will most certainly be my last one day. May I embrace that day, knowing that I made the most of this short life.

Most of all, may I live life knowing fundamentally that I am a Christian. May that name be heavy on my heart and mean so much to me. May it be a reminder that although I may have chance to play, I don’t have time to waste. May we all die a Christian.

    ‭‭
[1] Good people pass away; the godly often die before their time. But no one seems to care or wonder why. No one seems to understand that God is protecting them from the evil to come. [2] For those who follow godly paths will rest in peace when they die.

    Isaiah‬ ‭57:1‭-‬2‬ ‭NLT‬‬

In shadows cast by sorrow’s heavy veil,
Our hearts entwined, a bond that shall not fail.
Though tears may flow like rivers in the night,
    Memories linger, casting gentle light.

In the tapestry of time, his spirit weaves,
A legacy of love that never leaves.
Through whispered winds and stars that brightly gleam,
His essence dances in the moonlit dream.

Grieve not alone, for in each other’s eyes,
His laughter echoes, and his spirit flies.
United in the solace that we share,
His memory blossoms, tender, and rare.

As petals fall, enclosing the earth’s embrace,
We find in unity, a sacred space.
For in our hearts, his presence shall reside,
An everlasting bond that death can’t hide.

Together, we shall navigate the pain,
A symphony of love, a gentle rain.
In this collective strength, we find our way,
Guided by his light, through night and day.

For every life, a thread in time’s grand art,
Though parting comes, love never does depart.

Just as he lived for Christ for his name’s sake,
May we live and die in peace till we awake

He wore nobility like a cloak of grace,
A beacon of excellence, a refined embrace.
In a world of conformity, he dared to be,
A true gentleman, his spirit flying free.

Few words, yet each held profound weight,
Soft-spoken echoes of a mind so great.
His intellect soared where others feared,
    Creativity bloomed, and brilliance appeared.

In simplicity, he found his truest might,
    Untangling complexities with pure insight.
A godly intelligence in every gaze,
His presence, a symphony of silent praise.

Rest in the peace you lived with. Till we meet again, Christian.

  • Dunning-Kruger Effect: How the Politicians Lie to the Masses

During his dictatorship, Joseph Stalin came to one Politburo meeting with a live hen. He slowly plucked out its feathers as the hen quaked in pain, with blood oozing from its pores. He threw the animal to the ground, took some feed and began to throw it at the poor creature. The helpless hen followed him around, eating up the crumbs. Stalin exclaimed, “this is how easy it is to govern stupid people. They will follow you no matter the pain you cause them, as long as you throw them worthless treats once in a while. They will even forget that it’s you who brought them to that situation in the first place”. Bizarre! A story by an Anti-Stalinist in his biography of Stalin.

The dunning-kruger effect states that “the less you know, the more confident you are”.

This is one of the ways the politicians and media deceive the masses. It’s not that knowledge is directly proportional to confidence. It’s just that we blow people’s knowledge out of proportion because of their confidence. You would find Ministers in positions they have zero education and knowledge in. They would pay the media to advertise their social skills and gain the confidence of the masses. Yet, they lack the basic knowledge for the job.

    Confidence is Truth

Why does it get us every time? Confidence is associated with truth. We tend to think that confident people speak the truth. If you had nothing to hide and someone asked you a sincere question, you would confidently give your answer. Once the answer loses enough confidence, people tend to think you are not sure of what you’re saying – which is true most of the time.

One of the ways our brains detect if someone is speaking the truth is the emotion they express the truth in. Therefore, if you can tell a straight lie but say it with enough confidence, you can easily convince the masses. It’s the wrong use of confidence, but it works every time.

It’s an unspoken important rule in the political arena, that if you don’t know the answer to something, just say anything with great confidence as if you know what you are talking about, and some people will believe you. Lie to the masses but believe in what you are saying so that they believe you too. We see that in their propaganda and interviews all the time.

The dunning-kruger effect can also be seen in this way; The less the masses know about the intentions and inner workings of a political party, the more confident they are of them.

You see this used by frontrunners of major political parties. When you’re in opposition, never go into details about how you are going to solve a problem. Intellectuals within the masses will find fault with your strategy and punch holes in it. Just make general statements. Talk more into detail about the gravity of the problem, not your solution. Every good speaker says a thousand words about the seriousness of the situation and concludes with a one-sentence solution. Simple.

Another instance is this; if die-hard supporters of the political parties got to know that the political party offers blood sacrifices for victory, adds a percentage to the national budget for their benefit and even has their front-runners involved in the whole scandal, they will immediately lose faith in them.

The masses like to think that the front-runners themselves (President, Vice-president etc) are not corrupt. It’s those a little below the pyramid who are squandering the money and it’s making the leaders look bad. This is far from the truth. Democracy is a bureaucratic system of running things that makes sure that the main bosses are aware of all operations – both the corrupt ones and the not-corrupt ones – and are usually the pretenders because they are directly involved in every scandal.

Once someone has too much information about the inner workings of a party, he/she is handed a position once they are in power; Both to avoid blackmail and to shut them up from revealing too much to the public. It’s like seeing your friend discover $30 million under the carpet and before you can make noise to someone else about it, he gives you a quarter of it. Everything can be bought at a price.

As much as possible, anyone who comes to reveal a dirty lie to the masses must not have credibility. They should look paranoid. Thus, the masses find it difficult to believe. For instance, if I went to Joy FM to say the government stole $30 million from my carpet last night, nobody really cares. Yet, it would be headline news if the President or Vice-President said it. That’s what I mean by credibility.

Interesting, right? What’s more interesting is going through all this stress to lie to the masses. No wonder politics is now tantamount to cunningness to the layman.

  • The Paradox of Progress: Should the World Get Better or Worse?

    Introduction

The world we live in is a complex and dynamic place, filled with both hope and despair, progress and regression. For centuries, human societies have grappled with the question of whether the world is destined to get better or worse. This debate is deeply intertwined with religious beliefs, cultural narratives, and our innate human nature to anticipate the future. Let’s delve into the paradox of progress, guided by the profound statements that suggest our expectations and perceptions about the world’s trajectory may not align with the reality we face:

    Doomsday Prophecies in World Religions

All the top religions in the world have a doomsday kind of eschatology. Be it Christian or Muslim, the last days will be more known for evil rather than good. Although the Bible has some mixed endtime prophecies, it’s the evil part that draws attention the most.

It is true that many major world religions have eschatological beliefs that emphasize the idea of a final judgment and the arrival of apocalyptic times. For example, the Book of Revelation describes a series of cataclysmic events that lead to the end of the world. Similarly, in Islam, there are teachings about the Day of Judgment, which is associated with a period of great tribulation.

These doomsday narratives have a significant impact on our collective psyche. They often focus on the darker aspects of the future, painting a picture of chaos, destruction, and evil. As a result, many people tend to view the world through the lens of these prophecies, expecting the worst to come.

    The Paradox of Expectations

We expect our lives to get better but expect the world to get worse. It’s ironic. The paradox becomes evident when we contrast our personal expectations with our global outlook. On an individual level, we strive for self-improvement, personal growth, and the pursuit of happiness. We anticipate a better life for ourselves and our loved ones. Yet, when it comes to the world as a whole, our expectations often lean towards pessimism.

This disconnect is indeed ironic. We desire progress in our personal lives, but we struggle to envision a world that mirrors that desire. Instead, we find ourselves prepared for the worst-case scenarios, expecting global challenges and crises.

    The Reinforcement of Doomsday Scenarios

If things got worse, we’d say it’s meant to because it aligns with the doomsday messages of the end times. If things get better, we predict doom the more. Doomsayers become rampant because somehow we don’t expect the world to get better. In fact, even if it starts getting better, we’d barely notice because we fully expect worse. Therefore, we see worse if we look hard enough.

This paradox has a profound effect on the way we interpret events and trends in the world. When faced with adversity or challenges, we may readily attribute them to the impending doomsday, reinforcing our negative expectations. On the other hand, when we witness positive developments, we may dismiss them or fear that they are merely a calm before the storm.

The prevalence of doomsayers and negative narratives in the media and public discourse also plays a significant role. Even when progress is made, it often goes unnoticed because our preconceived notions of doom overshadow it.

The Need for a Balanced Perspective

While it’s essential to acknowledge the historical and cultural factors that contribute to our pessimistic outlook, it’s equally important to maintain a balanced perspective on the world’s future. The world is a complex and multifaceted place, and it is shaped by human actions and decisions.

Better or worse, what if the world doesn’t end in our time? What if it’s left for a thousand years, or even longer, before the world comes to an end? After all, many generations before us believed that the world would end in their time; but here we are. These questions should inspire us to think beyond our own lifetimes and consider the impact we can have on the world for future generations. As the Bible wisely suggests, “A good man leaves an inheritance for his children and children’s children.” Our ability to make the world better isn’t limited to our immediate circumstances. It extends to the legacy we create for those who will inherit the Earth after us.

    And Darkness Comprehended it Not

The belief that the world is destined to become darker and darker, with only a select few becoming brighter, is a flawed ideology. If we genuinely aim to become brighter, our light should have a transformative effect on the world. Instead of passively waiting for the end times, we should actively work towards global transformation. We already have a long way to go.

It begins with believing in our collective potential to enact positive change. We must shed the pessimism that often clouds our judgment and embrace a sense of agency. By taking action and fostering a sense of responsibility towards the world and future generations, we can genuinely contribute to global progress.

Rather than focusing solely on the negative prophecies and doomsday scenarios, we should channel our energy and efforts into bringing about positive change. By championing tolerance, cooperation, environmental stewardship, and social justice, we can gradually illuminate the world with our shared values and ideals. In the grand timeline of human history, our lives are but a fleeting moment. However, the impact we leave can be everlasting. We should strive to create a legacy that stands as a beacon of hope, progress, and compassion for generations to come.

    For Better or Worse!

So, should the world get better or worse? The answer lies in our hands. The world is what we make it. By working together, believing in our potential for positive change, and committing to leaving behind a brighter world for the unborn generation, we can reshape the course of history. Let us make it our mission to be the light that transforms the world, ensuring that it becomes better, not just for us but for all who will follow in our footsteps.

In conclusion, the question of whether the world should get better or worse is a reflection of our complex relationship with the future. While doomsday prophecies have a profound influence on our thinking, it is essential to maintain a balanced perspective that acknowledges both the challenges and the progress we face. As we move forward, let us strive to create a world that aligns with our desires for personal improvement while addressing the global issues that threaten our shared future.

  • Inclinism: Is the World Getting Better or Worse?

“The world as we know it is coming to an end”, says literally everybody who existed in a collapsing world system. Kingdoms have collapsed. Civilizations have been wiped out without a trace. World orders have been eradicated. This era is no different. We all see it. We all can sense it. It wouldn’t come as a surprise at all to the simpleton. The only shock will be how it took a different turn for the world as we know it to end.

Believe you me, world systems have died and have been reborn time and again. People don’t live forever, but concepts do outlive us. There is truly nothing new under the sun. It’s the same old concepts. Once in a while, there is a Mother Theresa who springs up; a Moses, a Messiah, a Mary. Then again, a Hitler also comes up. If you live for a few hundred years you will notice the trend. Same prophecies, same predicaments, different people.

To think we are any different from those in history by continuing in their abominations, hoping for a different predicament is a joke. Pride will destroy you just as much as it destroyed Hitler. To think that it is possible to sideline God and go about our lives is not a new concept, and just like Babel, many more things will divide us. This is the best and worst time to live in history, but it does worse than this. In fact, the more advanced progress we make in one area, the more other fundamental areas in society retrogress.

Smart energy, smart buildings, smartphones, smart TV, smart locks, smart cars, smart gadgets, smart analyses, smart everything yet the dumbest breed of humans exist today. I am not even joking. In 1 AD, humans were only 170 million. Lots of people were born, but lots of them died just as fast. So the population hardly grew. It was survival of the fittest. It took about 1800 years for the world population to reach 1 billion, yet it took only 12 years for the world population to increase from 6 billion to 7 billion.

Today, dumb people still find creative ways to foolishly die, but the majority still live to reproduce. That has made other powerful dumb breeds want to control the population. They do this by creating diseases, disasters and destruction, making it look as “natural” as possible. To them, it’s a natural selection, and their belief in eugenics makes them target certain races to slowly depopulate. All this gay propaganda is simply to reduce the population. A man and a woman can create a nation but the LGBTQ will not only reduce reproduction but also “produce” diseases.

This generation will fight World War 3 without even realising it. Mind you, while the World Cup was being played in Qatar, bombs were still hitting Ukraine. The Israel-Palestine war is World War 3 and has been fought for half a century, but who cares? Well, all of us…for now. It will be out of the news soon. We live in a great circus. A chaos. Mass entertainment makes up for the mass corruption of governments; an ancient Roman trick. Whenever there was political and economic unrest, the Emperor threw a circus at the Colosseum to entertain the people out of their misery. Perhaps, the human mind becomes confused when it sees that people can have fun while still living in abject misery. It’s not an irony.

Some things are slowly killing us – like processed food and drinks – and others are slowly destroying our minds. If you understand neuroplasticity, you’d see how mind control is so rampant. Music producers hit certain frequencies to control the mind and body to fall into the 7 deadly sins. Movies are slowly introducing us to new deadly concepts. The devil has always been secretive, and we know evil performs well in ignorance and darkness. But he changed his plan for the grand finale; let people know. Tell them via media in several ways. Eventually, they’ll get used to the idea. It’s called the Law of karmic retribution.

The mobile phone is one quick way to control the masses without calling for a gathering. I know by now, you know of cloning influential people in the world and using them for evil. This is an ancient trick the devil tried to pull with Moses (Jude 9). You also know of the creation of the New World Order, One-World Religion and all that crap. The government system has been made such that they can put our heads into a covenant/agreement not accepted by the entire populace. Legally, it is effective both spiritually and physically because we gave them such authority. Thus, parliaments of countries will begin to accept things that the people will demonstrate against but cannot overturn. Damn, they’re already doing that.

One really worse though unpopular predicament of this generation is its loss of sense of community. Already, a little over 50% of the world live in urban areas. By 2050, a whopping 68% of world’s population will be urbanized. Though not a bad thing in itself, urbanization takes away a sense of community. Community becomes society. Due to the numbers, we barely establish any connection with even our neighbours. Thus, we don’t care to treat each other like humans, because we barely know them and barely do we care. Barely! What you have is a society that is connecting huge pieces at the apex but losing on the fundamentals of living.

Our entire life is now built around our work. It even determines where we live. The pre-occupancy with work is worrying, as if nothing can be done about it. For generations, humans used to work for only their sustenance. Nobody worked for another’s benefit, except for foreigners. A man’s labour force consisted of only his family, including that foreigner. Since the industrial revolution, about 80% of the working population work for the 20%. Yet, the quality of life has drastically decreased. Why? It’s simple! Society priortizes work above life’s essentials like relationships and family.

The ambition of humans to build a city above the clouds to overthrow God has taken several forms throughout history. The seven deadly sins are all desires. Think about it! Once they take a hold of you, you simply lose sight of everything except your goal. We do not realize the opportunity cost that comes with our decisions. We sacrificed the environment for our “civilization”. Despite our engrossed knowledge base than any other generation in history, we destroy the environment at will, thinking it can’t possibly backfire.

Based on statistics, things are getting better. However, the essence of life is slowly gaining on us. Once you get away from all the city noise, put your phone down and take a long walk with no one around but birds chirping, the winds whistling and trees dancing, you will soon realized that you had been avoiding the sound of your own voice whispering from within. It had been whispering, “what is the essence of all these?”.

  • The Logic of God

    The Logic of God

“If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?”
    Matthew 6:30

Jesus used the phrase “little faith” 6 times in the Gospels. The Greek word is oligopistia, which has such an interesting meaning.
It actually means brief. “Oligos” is a Greek adverb that expresses a short duration, value or measure. If my fuel is “oligos”, it can’t take me a whole journey. It is the opposite of “tosoutos pistin”, often translated as great faith. So whenever Jesus said his disciples had little faith, He wasn’t just referring to the “quantity” of their faith. He was saying that their faith was brief.

Many have stopped believing in God because to them they have tried but it didn’t work. Faith is not trying to see if it will work. Faith is seeing that it is working out. God never said we should say it once and then magic happens. In fact, Jesus said the opposite if you read your Bible more carefully. Faith is a persevering spirit. “And will not God bring about justice for His chosen ones, who cry to Him day and night? Will He keep putting them off?”. Luke 18:7

How do we have faith? The Bible says, “faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God”. The word “by” means a channel of an act. This means it is by hearing the Word of God that we have faith and build faith. Having faith is as a result of the seed of God’s Word planted into our hearts. Faith (Greek: pistis) means “persuasion” in direct translation. This means God speaks words that persuades (convicts not convinces) us to take action.

Why? Whenever we make a decision consciously or subconsciously, we base it on something. But God persuades us to base it on His Logic not on our sight (literally means perspective). The “Word” in Greek means Logos, which is where we get the word “logic” from. In the beginning was the Logos(logic), and the Logos(logic) was with God, and the Logos(logic) was God. This revelation is mind-changing; God’s Word is His Logic.

God’s Logic or Word does not always make sense, not because it’s illogical, but because it is beyond the kind of logic we are accustomed to.

One of the most famous Scriptures is Jeremiah 29:11, ” I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
God through Jeremiah said this to the people who had been in exile for 20 years. They went on to live in exile for the next 30 years.

God will never forsake you. He will never abandon you. He needs you to continue believing. God wants to hold on to His Word, His Logic, His Rhema in the midst of it all. He wants you to build your life on a solid foundation. That is why faith is essential and fundamental in the Kingdom lifestyle. I want you to now face life with Great FAITH.

    I love you ❤

  • Confirmation Bias

“A person may think their own ways are right, but the Lord weighs the heart.”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭21:2‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Confirmation bias is the one of the leading reason why we do not grow. It blocks new ideas, new ways of doing things and better alternatives. It’s the container of lies, an illusion of truth and basically made up facts. We often see what we want to see because we see through our own biases.

Confirmation bias is basically thinking “a” is so because of so-and-so and later finding situations and scenarios to back your point. The mind chooses to see what it wants to see. If you look for something long enough, you’d soon find it. In fact, conceptions are such that you can find a scenario to back it no matter how dumb it is.

“Do you know the earth is flat?”

“Ha! What makes you think so?”

“I drive from Florida to California every week. Seems pretty flat to me. In fact, I just realized that no matter how high in elevation you are, the horizon is always eye level.”

    “Wow! Really?”

    “Yeah. See?”

The moment we want to believe something, we suddenly see all the arguments for it, and become blind to the arguments against it. We see our own illusions. That’s why other people see our problems better; they don’t see through our filter of biases. This is also the major reason why people project their lies on us; because they see through their own biases.

Don’t generalize your own experiences because you’re a sample of one. A sample of one is no damn good statistically. You can’t say anything in general as a fact based on one sample.

In a world full of made-up facts, illusions, delusions and diversified opinions, truth can really look like an abstract concept. Never forget this though; the Truth is the Truth, even if it cannot be proven and no one believes it.

    I love you ❤️
